Creative Clothespin Craft: Hungry Fish
Recently I’ve been making clothespin crafts. I own an extensive supply of wooden clothespins; if you don’t already, dollar stores or WalMart offer them at very reasonable prices. Clothespins make wonderful puppet-type crafts that kids will enjoy making like my dinosaur puppets from two months ago!
I decided to make a school of hungry fish this time. Kids can squeeze the clothespin to open and close its mouth for added fun – an easy craft for any day of the year or great as part of an ocean unit study!

If you don’t have scrapbook paper on hand, construction paper may work just as effectively; however, construction paper tends to tear and bend more easily than card stock so your project will last longer.

NOTE: I glued the clothespins so the fish mouths would remain open for photographs. This toy will provide your kids with hours of entertainment – simply squeeze to open or close its mouth!
Hope this project was fun for both of you and that crafting together will bring hours of laughter! Have a great time crafting!
